To enjoy comfort Italian fare at the heart of Thonglor. A firm favourite among local families, Sergio Forte’s lively, sprawling establishment serves up generous portions of accessible Italian fare. Their cigar room is a quiet, relaxing area to while away the evening.
Bacco is famous for its wide selection of pizzas and pastas and rightfully so, as flambeed pizza diabla with salami and chilli topping as well as tagliolini with squid ink and scallops do more than just satisfy starch cravings. Swordfish carpaccio, with a refreshing lemon flavour, is a not-too-filling starter, ideal for a heartier main course like roast guinea fowl with olives; a tasty rendition of a bird that’s not commonly found in Bangkok menus. Other picks include firmtextured monkfish, although the fish’s natural flavour is overpowered by the accompanying pancetta. Seafood fans have an array of grilled options to choose from, while the hungry carnivore’s best bet is steak florentine. Sweet sensations include the inevitable tiramisu and panna cotta. Or try the large sized apple strudel.
